Scholarship Information for Students from the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Republic of Palau, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands

First things first

As a student, you will want to make sure that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application for the academic year you are planning to attend. You can do this at fafsa.ed.gov. The Financial Aid Office wants to make your experience at Eastern Oregon University as trouble free as possible.  We have some information that is very important regarding applying for the FAFSA each year. It is critical that if you received a nine-digit pseudo-SSN when you completed your first FAFSA, that you continue to use that nine-digit number on subsequent FAFSAs.  Returning FAFSA filers should never provide only the first three digits (666) of the pseudo-SSN on any subsequent FAFSA because this will create a new pseudo-SSN. Only first-time FAFSA filers should submit just “666” in the SSN field. If you later get a U.S. SSN, but have already received a pseudo-SSN (starting with 666) on your first FAFSA, do not use your U.S. SSN on subsequent FAFSAs.  Use your previously assigned 666 number.
