The Outdoor Adventure Program at Eastern Oregon University
The Outdoor Program at Eastern Oregon University began in the Fall of 1973 when non-credit backpacking classes were offered and the first outdoor equipment was purchased. Since 1973 the program has continued to provide opportunities for the EOU community to learn about and explore the incredible natural environment surrounding La Grande.
Outdoor adventures since 1973
Today the Outdoor Adventure Program, located in the Hoke Union Building (Room 118), oversees an equipment rental program that provides a wide range of outdoor adventure equipment at no cost to EOU students. The OAP also facilitates for-credit OUT classes, outdoor adventure skills clinics, guided trips, indoor climbing wall, and hosts an extensive outdoor adventure resource library.
Upcoming Events & Trips
Located inside Quinn Coliseum in the upstairs balcony of the main gym the climbing wall is available to students and community members.
