Equipment Rental Policies

Deposits

  • A $300 damage deposit in the form of credit card or check is required for all raft, kayak, and SUP rentals.
  • Deposits are due at time of rental.
  • Deposits will be returned to renter if equipment is returned undamaged, clean, and dry.

Late Returns

  • Individuals returning gear after due date will be charged the daily general public rate for each item that is late.
  • Students returning gear after due date will also be charged the daily general public rate for each item that is late.
  • ALL RENTAL EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED BY 4PM ON DUE DATE OF RENTAL ITEMS WILL BE CONSIDERED LATE AND SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL DAILY CHARGE.

Reservations

  • Reservations may be made three months in advance.
  • A $10 non-refundable fee must be paid to secure reservation. Raft reservations require a deposit of 1/2 total rental charge. This is non-refundable if reservation is cancelled before or on the 1st reserved rental date. The deposit will be credited to your total rental charge when you pick up your reserved rental order.
  • Renters, besides EOU students, will have the $10 reservation fee credited toward their total rental charges.
  • Non-payment of reservation fee will result in loss of reservation.
  • Reserved equipment not picked up by 5pm on 1st reserved date will lose reserved status and be available for rent by others.

Additional Rental Policies

  • EOU students must be currently enrolled in on-campus courses and present a current EOU student ID card in order to be considered members of the OAP and receive 1/2 price rentals. This does not exclude fees charged for reservations, loss, damage, and late returns.
  • EOU students are limited to renting equipment for themselves. Any additional gear rented for friends or family members will be charged at the general public rate.
  • All equipment must be properly cleaned and dried before return. A $20 fee will be charged for equipment returned dirty and/or wet.
  • It is the obligation of the borrower/renter to inspect equipment at time of checkout.
  • All costs related to the replacement of damaged, lost, or stolen rental equipment are the responsibility of the borrower/renter. EOU students will have unpaid fees charged to their student account.
  • Habitual lateness or misuse of rental equipment are grounds for suspension of rental privileges.
