International Admissions Requirements
Applicants who are not United States citizens or immigrants will be considered for admission to Eastern Oregon University as international students.
All international applicants must submit the following to the Office of Admissions:
A $90 application fee is required.
Freshman
To be considered for admission, international students applying from high school must have:
- Have the equivalent to a standard U.S. high school diploma translated into English
- Have a minimum grade point average equivalent to a 2.75 on the U.S. 4.00 scale
- English proficiency as demonstrated by achieving 500 on the paper based TOEFL; a 61 on the Internet based TOEFL; a score of 5 on the IELTS; or satisfactory completion of level 112 in an English Language School.
- Provide verification of finances through current bank statements and the Affidavit of Support.
Transfer
To be considered for admission, transfer students must have:
- Have a minimum grade point average equivalent to a 2.25 cumulative GPA on the U.S. 4.00 scale taken from an accredited college or university. Students with fewer than 30 transferable credits must also meet the freshman requirements listed above. All transcripts must be official and in English.
- Demonstrate English proficiency by achieving a minimum score of 500 on the paper based TOEFL, 61 on the Internet based TOEFL, 5 on the IELTS, or satisfactory completion of level 112 in an English Language School.
- Provide verification of finances through current bank statements and the Affidavit of Support.
Graduate
To be considered for admission, graduate students must have:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution translated into English.
- Demonstrate English proficiency by achieving a minimum score of 550 on the paper based TOEFL, 79 on the internet based TOEFL, 6 on the IELTS, or satisfactory completion of level 112 in an English Language School.
- Provide verification of finances through current bank statements and the Affidavit of Support.
- Apply for admission to a specific Graduate Program.
