Student Council for Cultural Affairs (SCCA)

The SCCA is a student fee funded unit comprised of a group of EOU student leaders who serve as advocates of diversity and a resource for students and groups in an effort to provide awareness, appreciation for diverse cultures and support for a just and inclusive campus.

Mission/Vision

The mission of the SCMA is to contribute to awareness and competence across the Eastern Oregon University campus through providing resources and coordinating diversity programs that enhance the collegiate experience for all students.

SCMA Goals

Increase cultural awareness and foster an understanding and appreciation of diversity among students, faculty, and staff.
Support cultural programs that highlight all the different groups.
Address student issues through communication and collaboration with appropriate campus or community constituents.
Serve as a campus resource for self advocacy and student issues.
