Feb. 6 & 7, 2021: 9th Annual Eastern Oregon Backcountry Festival. Things are going to be a little different with the festival this year. We’ll still be doing a fundraiser for the Wallowa Avalanche Center via online auction. For Saturday, we’ve had to cancel the backcountry race, but we’ll still be offering several free snow safety/avalanche clinics throughout the day in small groups up at Anthony Lakes. On Sunday, WAC forecasters will lead tour groups on a short backcountry tour to gather snow observations. Check out more info at the EOBF webpage.
