Jan. 21, 2022 – Friday COVID Update

University Community,

Amid local and national rises in COVID-19 cases, it is critical that we remain diligent about following basic health behaviors:

  • Complete the Daily Self Health Check in Mountie Hub before you arrive on campus. Everyone coming to campus, including fully vaccinated (boosted) students and employees, are required to complete the check each day.
  • Wear a proper face covering in all indoor spaces. Supply chain issues have caused a delay in receiving KN95 masks. In the meantime, EOU’s Security team has placed N95 masks at some entrances to buildings along with a placard displaying instructions for wearing and caring for N95 masks.
  • Employees who have illness symptoms of any kind must stay home and contact their supervisor.
  • Avoid touching your face, and wash your hands frequently.

Guidance for a range of illness and close contact exposure scenarios, as well as definitions can be found at eou.edu/coronavirus/covid-exposure

Vaccination and testing resources:

  • Vaccine clinic Feb. 2

12 to 2 p.m. in the Quinn Practice Gym | Open to all

All vaccines and boosters will be available, as well as general information about COVID vaccines. Make an appointment at chdinc.org/feb2-eou-clinic or walk-in!

  • Testing clinics for students Tuesdays and Fridays

Student Affairs has resources to test symptomatic and COVID-positive students, as well as those who’ve been exposed to COVID-19. These students must test negative before they return to in-person classes.

  • Employees who have symptoms or need a test have several options
    • Access free at-home tests provided by the federal government at covidtests.gov.

Students with questions should contact Student Affairs (saffairs@eou.edu) or call the COVID Hotline at 541-962-3260. Employees with questions should contact their supervisor or Human Resources (hr-group@eou.edu).

Thank you for your continuing patience and diligence.

Sincerely,

Executive Leadership Team
