March 18, 2022 – Friday COVID Update

University Community,

As Winter Term comes to a close, thank you for your patience and understanding as we move together into a new phase of our COVID-19 response. Consistently low case counts and eased restrictions locally, statewide, and nationally have allowed us to begin unwinding some of EOU’s pandemic protocols. Stay informed of the latest updates by following official university channels such as Infoline.

Ongoing safety and health practices

  • Stay home if you have illness symptoms of any kind.
  • Continue to complete the Daily Self Health Check in Mountie Hub before arriving on campus each day.
  • The Oregon Health Authority still requires those who test positive for COVID-19 to quarantine for five days. Click here to view the full OHA guidance.

New or changing practices

  • Facility Operations staff return to regular cleaning routines on March 21. Sanitizing stations will remain in place in campus buildings.
  • During Spring Break staff will be returning full service to drinking fountains in campus buildings.
  • Work stations that have had plexiglass installed will have the option to remove the plexiglass in the near future. Stay tuned for more information regarding a Plexiglas Roundup Week that is being organized by the Facility Operations Department.

Students with questions should contact Student Affairs (saffairs@eou.edu) or call the COVID Hotline at 541-962-3260. Employees with questions should contact their supervisor or Human Resources (hr-group@eou.edu).

Have a safe spring break!

Sincerely,

Executive Leadership Team
