Oct. 29, 2021 – Friday COVID Update

EOU Employees and Students,

Happy Halloween weekend! It’s been over 18 months since Facilities posted room capacity signs in campus buildings. As those specific capacity protocols no longer apply, staff has begun removing the signs. Face covering requirements remain in effect throughout campus.

EOU will host an on-campus vaccination clinic from 12 noon to 2 p.m., this Wednesday, Nov. 3 in the Quinn Coliseum Practice Gym. Students and employees are welcome to walk-in or make an appointment at chdinc.org/nov3-eou-clinic. CHD staff will offer first and second doses, as well as booster shots. Additional information below.

On-Campus Vaccination Clinic Nov. 3

COVID-19 Vaccination | Schedule an appointment!

  • Receive a first or second dose of Pfizer, Moderna or J&J vaccine.
  • Free of charge! No ID or proof of insurance required.
  • Remember to bring your vaccination card if it’s your second dose!

COVID-19 Booster | Schedule an appointment!

  • If you received the J&J vaccine more than two months ago or your second Moderna/Pfizer dose more than six months ago, you might qualify for a booster shot!
  • Employees who work on campus at EOU qualify for a booster. Full list of qualifications: cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html.
  • Remember to bring your vaccination card!

COVID-19 Vaccine Information | Walk-ins welcome!

  • Speak with a healthcare professional to determine what’s right for you.

If you can’t make it on Wednesday, there are weekly COVID-19 vaccination clinics in La Grande. Learn more at chdinc.org/get-vaccinated.

Don’t forget!

Regular hand-washing, properly wearing face coverings and completing the Daily Health Check remain critical to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Contact your supervisor if you feel unwell, or if you have questions about COVID-19 safety measures. Do not come to campus if you are sick in any way. Promptly report all illnesses to your supervisor.

Thank you for your vigilance in protecting the welfare of our campus community as we work to provide a high-quality education in rural Oregon. Find more information at eou.edu/coronavirus
