LA GRANDE, Ore. – Seventeen College of Education undergraduates have been awarded more than $35,000 in scholarships to complete their teaching field experiences in rural communities throughout Oregon.
The scholarship funding comes from a grant awarded to Teach Rural Oregon by the Educator Advancement Council and the Oregon Department of Education. Teach Rural Oregon is a College of Education program committed to recruiting and supporting teacher candidates in rural Oregon locations.
Each recipient received $2,100 to apply toward tuition as they complete their undergraduate field experience.
