Christina Thew is an instructor in the College of Education. Her passions include young adult literacy, teacher leadership, and trauma-informed practices. Prior to EOU, Christina taught secondary English Language Arts for eleven years. During that time Christina worked hard to engage her students by embracing a variety of strategies including using technology and creativity to demonstrate learning, and to teach and encourage critical thinking. Christina also spent three years teaching in the College and Career Readiness program at YVCC. There she worked with emerging bilingual students on building basic skills in writing.   When not teaching, you can find Christina at a sporting event, in the mountains, or at Disneyland. She enjoys traveling and exploring with her husband Chris and their two children.
