Budget & Planning/Tuition Advisory Committee Charge
“Each public university listed in ORS 352.002 shall have an advisory body to advise the president of the university on the president’s recommendations to the governing board regarding resident tuition and mandatory enrollment fees for the upcoming academic year.” (H.B. 4141, 2018 Short Session, Oregon, 2018)
Membership
All members of the Budget & Planning/Tuition Advisory Committee participate in the annual tuition setting process.
EOU Tuition Setting Timeline
- Tuition discussion kickoff – November
- B&P/TAC discusses GRB and Tuition Scenarios – January
- Finance and Administration Committee discusses GRB and Tuition Scenarios – January
- EOU Cabinet, B&P/TAC Committee, ASEOU updates – January/February
- Tuition scenario conversations continue with ASEOU, B&P/TAC, F&A Committee, Student forums – February/March
- B&P/TAC makes tuition recommendation to EOU President – end of March
- F&A Committee recommends tuition proposal to full board – late spring
- EOU Full Board reviews and approves tuition – last meeting in spring

Meeting Dates
Tuition discussions will take place at the regularly scheduled meetings. Additional meetings with ASEOU, student and campus community forums will take place during the spring.
