EOU Theatre brings ‘Mean Girls’ to the stage Nov. 12-15

LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon University Theatre will present “Mean Girls,” a musical about high school popularity, friendship, and the consequences of trying to fit in, Nov. 12-15 in McKenzie Theater in Loso Hall.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 12, 13, and 14, with a 2 p.m. matinee Nov. 15.

Adapted from the hit 2004 film, the musical follows Cady Heron as she trades a childhood on the African savanna for the unfamiliar social landscape of suburban Illinois. She soon encounters The Plastics, a powerful trio led by the charming but ruthless Regina George.

When Cady and her friends plot to end Regina’s reign, their plan draws Cady deeper into the world she set out to challenge. Along the way, she discovers how quickly the pursuit of popularity can come at the expense of friendship and her own sense of self.

All seating is reserved. Tickets are $17 for general admission and $12 for children, seniors, veterans, and active-duty military personnel.

Admission is free for EOU students.
