LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is making it more affordable than ever to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Thanks to newly awarded funding from the Oregon Health Authority’s Health Care Workforce Grant, EOU will offer significant scholarships to Oregon residents pursuing their MSW during the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years.

With a focus on social justice, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices, EOU’s fully online MSW program equips students with the skills needed to make a meaningful impact—especially in underserved rural communities. Scholarship Details:

• Fall 2025: Full tuition coverage for up to 12 full-time Oregon residents.
• Winter, Spring, and Summer 2025-26: Twelve scholarships of up to $6,260 will be offered to Oregon residents
• 2026-27 Academic Year: Twelve scholarships of up to $6,260 will be offered to Oregon residents

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on grant requirements and a structured evaluation process, ensuring fair distribution of funds.

Additionally, EOU anticipates earning candidacy status with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) by June 2026, meaning all graduates will retroactively hold degrees from an accredited program—enhancing their professional credentials.
