LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is preparing for its upcoming Comprehensive Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness, scheduled for Oct. 27 – 29, 2025, as part of its accreditation process with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
EOU has been continuously accredited since 1931 by NWCCU and its predecessor agencies. The university’s most recent comprehensive evaluation was the Mission Fulfillment and Sustainability Self-Evaluation, conducted in the fall of 2018. This upcoming review is a crucial step in ensuring that EOU continues to meet NWCCU’s rigorous standards for institutional quality and effectiveness.
As part of this process, NWCCU invites public comments regarding EOU’s institutional effectiveness and mission fulfillment. All comments should be submitted to NWCCU via their website (https://nwccu.org/contact-us/) no later than ten (10) calendar days before the scheduled visit.
This accreditation process affirms EOU’s commitment to academic excellence, student success, and continuous improvement. Public participation and feedback are encouraged as the university undergoes this comprehensive review.
