Social Science Abstracts Guidelines

In a short paragraph (around 200 words or less), prepare an informative abstract that is orderly, succinct and concrete. Active verbs such as report, propose, and analyze are useful to include. Consider using this outline as you prepare your spring symposium abstract:
Objective: What is the core issue, research question, or objective of the research?

Methods: Briefly describe the methods. This includes the population, sampling method, sample size, study design (in-depth interview study, survey, experiment).

Results/Conclusions: Briefly describe key results and broader implications (Are your theories supported? What are the implications of your findings for the topic you’ve researched?)
