Petition to Waive EOU Institutional Graduation Requirement

This form should be used rarely, and only when an advisor believes special consideration is needed due to extenuating and exceptional circumstances.  Institutional graduation requirements serve multiple purposes, which include, but are not limited to, maintaining the consistency and integrity of what it means to earn a degree from EOU, maintaining EOU’s compliance with state and federal requirements, and meeting EOU’s mission as an institution of higher learning. It should therefore be expected that institutional requirements are only waived under the most special of circumstances.

Advisors must submit the petition directly to the Registrar’s Office using the form below. A petition to waive an institutional graduation requirement will be decided upon by the Provost. A list of EOU institutional graduation requirements can be found in the current academic catalog.
