This very well could be an option for others in a University project setting. However if your project is not coming with a server back up then dont worry because there are plenty of options. First you need to purchase your site name, then hire a company to rent server space, and your done! Usually the name will be a one time fee for a few years of use, while the server space will cost you a yearly fee or monthly.
