Student Employee Instructions

Requirements For On-Campus Employment

1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, you must:

3. HIRING SUPERVISOR WILL ENTER THE STUDENT EMPLOYEE INTO MOUNTIE HUB

 Once the supervisor has entered the position into Mountie Hub, the student employee will receive an email from Payroll giving instructions for the next step.

  • If this is the first position as an EOU student employee (or the student employee hasn’t worked within the last six months), the student employee will need to come into Payroll.
  • If the student employee is currently working at EOU, the email will confirm that the position has been created and there is no need to go to Payroll.

4.VISIT PAYROLL UPON RECEIVING THE EMAIL

Please bring one item from list A OR one item from list B AND one item from list C found in the link below.

Please bring a voided check for direct deposit or a letter from the banking institution that provides the employee’s name, routing number, account number, and name of the banking institution.

*International students: please call Payroll at (541) 962-3286 to make an appointment. Please obtain a Social Security card at 2205 Cove Avenue in La Grande.

4. TIMESHEET

  • Once the paperwork has been completed, please fill out the timesheet in Mountie Hub using Web Time Entry.
  • Timesheets must be submitted to the supervisors by the 15th of each month. 

NOTE:  Payday is the last working day of the month.

**If a student employee goes longer than three months without pay, their position(s) will be terminated and they will no longer be eligible for student employment until new hire paperwork is completed again.**
