Carrie Crist, of Nampa, Idaho, was an online student at Eastern Oregon University, working full-time and the mother of two boys, ages 11- and 14-years-old. On Saturday, June 17, Crist donned her cap and gown to accept her two degrees, one in anthropology and one in psychology.
Crist’s educational path wasn’t without obstacles. After losing her father Crist took a break from school, but ultimately came back and finished her program.
“When I lost my father it became a community around me, even though I was online and that is why I stayed,” Crist said.
Crist said she would 100% recommend the online program to others, “I think the online program – they’ve updated it, it’s even easier.”
What’s next for Crist? “I’m recuperating, resting for now,” she said. If you would like information about online programs at EOU, click here..
