LA GRANDE, Ore. – For the third year in a row Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is honored to be selected to the PTK Honor Roll.
Eastern Oregon University, one of the nation’s top transfer-friendly institutions, was recognized by PTK for “excellence in the development of transfer pathways.” Only those institutions that score in the top 25% of the organization’s Transfer Friendliness Ratings are named to the Transfer Honor Roll.
EOU’s focus is on making it easier for students to transfer from another institution.
The honor roll is selected by 40 key metrics, including a strong pathway for transfer students that leads to excellence and success. The Honor Roll is chosen from among the top 25 percent of highest-rated colleges.
“Great advisers to work with! They made the transition from a community college to a university easy and took all the stress away!” said Carlee Morton, Agricultural Sciences (transferred from Treasure Valley Community College) Adrian, Ore.
EOU is the most affordable university in Oregon and offers $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) scholarships for members of all PTK Chapters. At Eastern Oregon University, that scholarship can be combined with our Transfer Student Scholarship earning a student up to $3,500 toward their degree.
The $1,000 PTK scholarship is guaranteed upon acceptance to Eastern Oregon University (EOU), proof of PTK membership and completion of the scholarship application.
EOU was the first public school in Oregon to offer scholarships for PTK Honor society members.
The University’s commitment doesn’t stop there. In 2022, EOU launched an initiative called Moon Shot for Equity. This work is focused on access to higher education and closing equity gaps to support student success. EOU hopes to make it easier for students to transfer directly from Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) and Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC).
Before you transfer to Eastern Oregon University, students can request a FREE Transfer Credit Review and discover how your prior coursework may apply to your EOU program of interest.
