LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Chamber Choir and Music Department will bring some of the best music of the last century to the McKenzie Theatre this February.
The concert will be held Feb. 10-11 at McKenzie Theatre in Loso Hall. The concert will begin Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.
This year’s concert, “Name that Tune,” will feature songs by Dolly Parton, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, as well as The Beatles, Carlos Santana and Ed Sheeran.
“EOU is grateful for all of the community support in La Grande and looking forward to the fast-paced, high-energy song and dance performance. We are pleased to again partner with Red Cross Drug to bring this show to life,” Peter Wordelman, Professor of Music and Director of EOU’s Chamber Choir said.
This fast-paced show with costume changes and songs from the 1950s to present day will be choreographed by Los Angeles dancers Billy Rugh and Michelle ‘Mishka’ Benton.
Luke McKern will direct the rock band, Mio Aoike will be the accompanist and Peter Wordelman will direct the EOU Chamber Choir.
Tickets can be purchased at Red Cross Drug, the EOU Bookstore, or purchased online at eou.edu/music. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. Group tickets are $6 each when you purchase 10 or more. Group tickets must be purchased in person only. Buying tickets in advance is highly recommended.
