Educational Policy and Curriculum Committee (EPCC)

Purpose:

  1. To review educational programs and course offerings, develop and review curricular policy, and to recommend the implementation of these programs and policies to the Faculty Senate.
  2. To initiate study proposals in order to improve the educational development and programs at Eastern Oregon University.

CURRENT PROCEDURAL OVERVIEW

Any new course, course changes (e.g., name, credits, catalog description or language), course deletion, program changes, or new programs/ minors/concentrations must undergo several procedural steps before the approval process is complete and the changes are officially adopted.

Submission of proposed curricular changes to EPCC must be turned in TEN BUSINESS days before a scheduled meeting.  Submit final paperwork to Angie Adams aadams@eou.edu.

The following deadlines apply for all curricular action items to reach EPCC:

Colleges need to submit any program updates for the 2024-2025 academic year by the January 2024 meeting. Any program changes submitted after the January meeting date will go into effect for the 2025-2026 academic year.  Please contact esharratt@eou.edu for further information.
