Teachers and Administrators

EOU Professor Laura Mahrt

Thank you for being willing to partner with Eastern Oregon University with our sponsored dual credit courses.  You’re a vital part of the program and we look forward to supporting you throughout the year.

Interested in teaching dual credit?

Becoming a partner has certain requirements from the teacher and the administration of each district.  Full explanations of expectations are in the Early College Handbook.

  • Help guide your students to fill out their application for Eastern Oregon University.
  • Send home and communicate directly with the Early College Initiative’s office when you have received the financial responsibility forms in a timely fashion.  When you receive your forms make sure you scan them and send them to eci@eou.edu
  • All teachers are expected to attend 2 PLC meetings with PLC leaders in addition to one annual orientation with ECI.
  • There is also an expectation that planned training by faculty will be attended or completed before day one of high school dual credit class.
  • Administration will be contacted if following HECC guidelines are not met in order for state regulations to be adhered to by the university and the high schools.
  • With the above understanding in mind please be aware of the following deadlines.  It is vital that these deadlines are met in order for students to successfully be added to coursework and get credit for what they are taking.

Student Navigator Support

Each term Student Navigators reach out to all high school students who take online or on-campus classes directly from Eastern faculty. They help with any questions that the students have about their courses or Eastern in general. This is an opportunity for students to talk directly to current EOU students about needs for their success in collegiate coursework.
