The Student Discussion Leader will work under the guidance of Dr. Puentes to lead discussions within sociology 204 general sociology and participate in duties related to food insecurity.

Position SummaryThe Student Discussion Leader will work under the guidance of Dr. Puentes to lead discussions within sociology 204 general sociology and participate in duties related to food insecurity.
ResponsibilitiesStudent employee will need to engage students in introductory sociology classes in conversations reading to course material. Student employee will need to guide students in discussions, track attendance, and lead group activities. Data entry skills will be used for attendance and tracking donations for campus food pantries.
Hours will vary based on class and program needs but will not exceed 10 hours per week.
Minimum QualificationsOpen to EOU students who have successfully completed 3 sociology courses, including upper division classes.
Preferred QualificationsStudents with majors or minors in Anthropology/Sociology
