Communication Studies

Eastern Oregon University offers a Communication Studies program leading to a Bachelor of Sciences or a Bachelor of Arts degree.

English/Writing

The Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in English/Writing provides coursework in writing, rhetoric, and literature/film, preparing students to be critical, creative thinkers and effective communicators.

Interdisciplinary Studies

The Interdisciplinary Studies degree program allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree while exploring complex topics through the academic lens of two or more fields of study coupled with the application of extracurricular experiences and activities. This program allows students to approach real-world problems and questions in multidisciplinary and holistic ways that appeal to employers in the 21st Century.

Public Relations

With EOU’s bachelor’s degree in public relations, you will build in-demand expertise in social media management, market research and data analysis to gain a competitive edge in the job market. This flexible program combines engaging coursework with in-person field experiences and project-based learning, preparing you to create social media campaigns and public-facing messaging with clarity and authenticity.

Spanish

Spanish bases its outcomes on the proficiency- based guidelines outlined by the internationally recognized standards of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). With upper division work required in the minor students can expect to develop an intermediate-high to advanced level of proficiency. These goals are integrated in individual courses as well as the program at large.
