Starting college from anywhere is exciting, but let’s be honest, it can also feel a little overwhelming when you are at a distance. That’s why we’ve created the Mountaineer Online Orientation (MOO) course and put it right into your Canvas dashboard to help you get started with confidence, no matter where you call home. Inside the MOO course shell, you’ll find overviews of digital departments, virtual advising, and student support services, plus helpful information to help you make a smooth transition into our EOU online community.

We know from our own experiences that sometimes it can be difficult to build connections when learning remotely – we also know that most questions can be answered if you just know where to start. We’re here to support you virtually, every step of the way. We’re so glad to have you as part of the Mountaineer family, whether you are across the state or across the country. 

• A First-Year Resource: MOO is a resource intended for all online Mounties in their first year.

• Essential Tools: It is designed to equip you with resources and tools you will use every day.

• A Space to Grow: Return as often as you wish—there is no definitive final or course ending!

• Next Step: Explore! There is no required sequence to MOO, so dive into what’s important to you first.
