The Food Pantry at EOU is here for you!
We work closely with the Eastern Oregon Regional Food Bank and Community Connections of Northeast Oregon (CCNO) to make sure our shelves stay stocked with nutritious food. Because of this partnership, we’re able to offer a wide variety of items—from pantry staples to fresh fruits and vegetables. Programs like Fresh Alliance also help bring in perishable foods that would otherwise go to waste, so nothing is lost and everything supports our community.
Each month, our team picks up new supplies to keep the pantry ready for students and families who need it. Thanks to this ongoing collaboration, we can provide consistent support and help ease the stress of food insecurity—so you don’t have to face college life on an empty stomach.

EOU Student Access
The EOU main food pantry is located in Hoke Union Building, room 118, in the former location of the Outdoor Adventure Program and Veterans Services. The pantry is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All EOU students with an active EOU ID card are able to access the space outside of these hours if the pantry is closed or locked. If your student ID card does not work with the door card reader, please contact IT for assistance in getting your ID updated.
Community Member Access
EOU has expanded its food pantry services to support community members experiencing food insecurity. All EOU staff, faculty, and community members are welcome to use the pantry during regular hours, with the main pantry open to the public on Fridays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Visitors are asked to follow posted guidelines to ensure a smooth experience. As demand grows, community members are also encouraged to explore additional food resources in Union County to help strengthen access to essential food supplies.

We Accept Donations!
In response to the high demand in food pantry utilization, the SEI Benefits Navigator Program has established a protocol for donating to the on-campus food pantries for those who wish to support the students by contributing non-perishable food, hygiene items, or gift cards. Every donation helps ensure that students remain nourished, focused, and supported as they pursue their academic goals. We accept unused, unopened, unexpired canned and dry goods.
How You Can Help:
- Donate nonperishable items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, or granola bars.
- Donate funds through our EOU Foundations donations page and designate it for “EOU Campus Food Pantry Support Fund”.
- Contribute hygiene products like feminine products, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant.
- Grocery Gift cards to local grocery stores or restaurant vouchers are also greatly appreciated.
- Students were able to generate a full list of on-demand items.

Other Food Resources
The EOU Food Pantry proudly participates in the monthly Fresh Alliance Food Distribution, a resource available to all EOU students, staff, faculty, and community members. This program is made possible through the support of our local Food Bank and partnering grocery stores. The distribution takes place on the third Thursday of each month on the EOU campus in the Hoke Union Building, first floor. We encourage all participants to bring one or two reusable grocery bags. A wide variety of food options is provided and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event serves as an important opportunity for our campus and local community to access fresh, supplemental food resources in a welcoming and supportive environment.
