LA GRANDE, Ore. – Faculty and staff are invited to attend a colloquium, where they will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding responsive practices in education.
Eastern Oregon University is excited to announce the upcoming colloquium titled “Summer Scholars Report: Preservice Teacher Reflections From a Grow Your Own Teacher Pathway Centered on Cultural and Linguistic Responsive Practices,” scheduled for April 11 at 4 pm in Ackerman, room 210.
This session will talk about the Oregon Teacher Pathway™ program that helps people become teachers. The colloquium will delve into the innovative practices and dispositions essential for addressing the dynamic teaching and learning contexts of our time.
“We are thrilled to showcase the promising practices and areas for continued growth identified through this reflective journey,” Tawnya Lubbes, Associate Professor of Education said . “This colloquium serves as an example of our ongoing commitment to fostering excellence and inclusivity in teacher preparation.”
The presenters will share findings from an annual program survey spanning three years, offering insights gained from the experiences and perspectives of preservice teachers. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of reflective practices that are responsive to the evolving needs and experiences of teacher candidates.
Refreshments will be provided.
