GEM – General Education Mobile

About GEM

General Education Mobile (GEM) is an educational partnership between the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) and Eastern Oregon University, offering a set of online general education classes through the Air Force Virtual Education Center.

The GEM program offers Airmen and Guardians access to general education courses in an online setting to fulfill the CCAF Associate in Applied Science (AAS) general education requirements. The flexibility of an online classroom allows you to learn on your own time from anywhere in the world!

Active Duty Military Award

  • Eligibility: Available to all Active Duty members of the military. Students must be taking 100% online undergraduate coursework. Students must submit paperwork for Tuition Assistance benefits through their branch of the military.
  • Award: Covers the remaining amount of tuition, after tuition assistance benefits are applied each term. Students will be notified each term of the award amount.
  • Application Process: Automatically awarded based on the submission of Tuition Assistance paperwork through the third party billing desk in the student accounts office.

Approved GEM courses

The following EOU courses have been approved as General Education Mobility (GEM) courses which can be used to meet Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) general education requirements for their Associate of Applied Science degree programs. All courses are 10 weeks long.
