About Mary Fisher

Mary Fisher, Ph.D., AMA-CPM™, is a Senior Instructor II in the College of Business at Eastern Oregon University. Her academic career spans the United States and United Kingdom, where she has taught research methods and scholarship, data analytics, management, global business and institutions, organizational behavior, and workplace culture.

Her international business experience includes work in Türkiye, France, China, and England, where she worked as foreign trade operations manager and investment advisor. She also serves as Project Director for a Turkish company, bringing current industry experience into her teaching and research. She brings this firsthand experience into the classroom, connecting business concepts with working across countries and cultures..

Mary has travelled to 17 countries for business and leisure and enjoys experiencing different cultures and ways of life. She often brings stories and lessons from her travels and international business experience into the classroom.

She is also an AMA Certified Professional in Management™ (AMA-CPM™) and a certified Salesforce Administrator and continues to learn and grow alongside her students.

Additional Information

Mary is an advocate for affordable and accessible education and uses zero-cost/open educational resources in her courses whenever possible.

Currently, she is exploring ways to bring generative AI, analytics, and emerging technologies into business education while preserving critical thinking, human judgment, and academic integrity.
