About Dr. Rysdam

Sheri Rysdam earned a B.A. in English, Discourse Theory, with a minor in Spanish; a Masters degree in Creative Writing; and a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition. She taught writing at Utah Valley University before coming to EOU, where she directs the EOU Writing Center and teaches various courses in the English/Writing program. 

Dr. Rysdam actively publishes and presents in the areas of teaching college composition, writing response, rhetorics of political economy, medical rhetorics and doula work, and she writes poetry and creative prose as well. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, gardening, spending time with her small flock of sheep, practicing and teaching yoga, serving as a doula, and spending time with her family.
