Brooke Stout began her teaching career as a graduate assistant at Boise State University in the Department of Accountancy in 2014. She tutored students and assisted professors with lower division accounting courses. After graduating from Boise State University in 2015, Brooke went on to work in public accounting for five years before making the transition back to the academic world. She earned her CPA license in Oregon in 2016.

She has practical experience in a wide variety of accounting topics (the joy of working for a small firm). Some of her favorites are construction accounting, nonprofit and governmental audits, and business and individual tax. Her goal in teaching is to utilize her practical experience to bring the real world to the classroom. Brooke is also one of our Faculty Advisors to our chapter of the International Honor Society, Sigma Beta Delta, a leading honor society for business, recognizing, celebrating, and promoting undergraduate and graduate student achievement in accounting, business, management, and administration.

The majority of her “spare” time is spent outdoors with her husband and their dogs, running, or with her nose in a book.
