Eastern Oregon University’s (EOU) Theatre Program will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] [Again] this winter. The fast-paced, comedic production, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, will run March 14-15 at 7 p.m. and March 16 at 2 p.m. in Schwarz Theater, located in Loso Hall on the campus of EOU.
Designed to entertain Shakespeare enthusiasts and skeptics alike, the production takes a lighthearted approach with contemporary comedic flair.
“I wanted a comedy, and I needed something with a small cast and minimal set,” Kellogg said. “The biggest challenge has been line memorization. It’s so funny, and it’s so fun to see. This is a different take on Shakespeare.”
The cast features EOU students Casandra Johnson, Aurelio Marin and Logan Flynn.
EOU Theatre invites the community to experience this energetic and irreverent homage to one of history’s greatest playwrights. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, contact the EOU Theatre Department athttps://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/eouniversity/6521.
Directed by EOU student Kay Kellogg as her capstone project, the play condenses 37 of Shakespeare’s works into a 97 minute performance filled with humor, satire, and plenty of absurdity.
