LA GRANDE, Ore. – The annual Stress Less event at Eastern Oregon University is back, and this year puppies, piglets, and miniature horses are included.
The upcoming Stress-Less Event, on Wednesday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eastern Oregon University Fieldhouse will provide students with skills and resources to cope with stress in healthy and productive ways to improve overall health and wellbeing.
As the largest student-led event on campus, the Stress Less event is a great way for students to relax and have fun. Students will have the opportunity to learn new ways to manage stress in the future and feel more connected on campus. Sponsors of the event will also be providing the opportunity to learn about some of the resources EOU has available to help students such as tutoring, counseling, and outdoor recreation resources. On-campus and local resources will be present at the event to promote all the support students have available to them to help cope with stress.
There will be music, free food, games, yoga classes, rock climbing, massages, door prizes from local businesses, yoga classes throughout the day and so much more!
Several different campus and community businesses have donated food and drinks to the event. There will be food from Dominoes and Sodexo Food Service, as well as drinks donated from The Local, Walmart, and Pepsi. All are available for FREE.
Stress contributes to poor health outcomes in college students and Eastern Oregon University is committed to making the student experience a positive one.
