LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University (EOU) proudly announces its inclusion in Forbes magazine’s list of the 10 Most Affordable Universities for Online Early Childhood Education Degrees for 2024. Forbes looked at schools across the nation, utilizing a comprehensive methodology that includes student outcomes, affordability, and student experience.
Forbes evaluated EOU’s online B.S./B.A. in Early Childhood Education against metrics, including overall graduation rate, median earnings 10 years post-graduation, affordability indicators, student-to-faculty ratio, and program accreditation, among others. EOU’s commitment to delivering quality education while maintaining affordability and accessibility propelled it to a spot on Forbes’ list.
Eastern Oregon University’s online Early Childhood Education program stands out as a non-licensure option, providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a career working with children aged birth through 8. The flexible online format allows students to learn expertise in early childhood foundations, development, and approaches.
Forbes highlighted Eastern Oregon University’s program for its affordability and the comprehensive 57-credit curriculum, covering multicultural education, math and science methods in early childhood education, and children’s literature. The inclusion of a two-part practicum in local elementary schools, preschools, or Head Start centers further enriches the learning experience.
