LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is excited to announce the selection of Genuine Foods as its new dining services provider following a comprehensive, collaborative and competitive selection process. Genuine Foods will officially commence dining operations at EOU starting September 1, 2024.
The decision to partner with Genuine Foods underscores EOU’s commitment to providing high-quality, nutritious, and diverse meal options for its students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. Genuine Foods was selected based on its innovative approach to dining services, emphasis on sustainability, and dedication to community engagement.
Genuine Foods will introduce a variety of new menu options, including plant-based and allergen-friendly meals, to cater to the diverse dietary needs of the EOU community. The partnership includes a strong focus on sustainability, with plans to reduce food waste, source from local food providers, and implement eco-friendly practices throughout the dining operations. Additionally, Genuine Foods will actively engage with the EOU community through culinary events, nutrition education, and collaboration with local farmers and suppliers.

The transition to Genuine Foods will occur in early August, ensuring a smooth changeover and continued excellence in dining services. EOU and Genuine Foods will work closely together to ensure that the new dining program meets the highest standards and exceeds the expectations of the campus community.
