Nov. 4, 2021 LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University’s Board of Trustees will meet on campus Nov. 10 for its first regular meeting of the academic year.
New degree programs in public relations and public administration are up for approval, and Executive Director of the Higher Education Coordinating Commission Ben Cannon will provide a report. HR Director Chris McLaughlin will lead a discussion regarding the university’s employee compensation strategy. After reviewing proposed budgets last spring, the board will vote on a final budget for the next fiscal year.
Representatives from shared governance groups, elected for 2021-22, will report to the board for the first time. Trustees will also hear presentations on enrollment strategy, ongoing pandemic response and an updated DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion and access) Strategic Plan. They’ll also tour the renovated performing arts facilities in Loso Hall.
