Public Employee Benefits Board (PEBB)

Medical, dental and vision insurance

  • Premium share with EOU paying 95%  or 97% of premium.
  • Spouse and dependent coverage available.
  • Domestic partners are eligible.

Retirement Plans

Defined Plans- University Contribution

  • EOU retirement program provides a combination of defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
  • University contribution are made on a monthly basis.
  • Employees are eligible for contribution after 6 months of employment.

Voluntary Plans-Employee Only Contribution

  • Tax-deferred and Roth 403(b) plans.
  • Deferred compensation program.
  • Employees are eligible to make contributions immediately upon employment.

Time Off:

The university offers Vacation and Sick Leave to enable employees to take time off with pay. Paid Leave accrual rates depend on the classification of the position.

Staff Tuition Rates:

Eligible employees are provided the opportunity to pursue and education at EOU at reduced tuition rates.

  • Eligibility requires at least half-time employment.
  • Staff rates apply to all Oregon public universities.
  • Benefit may be transferred to one family member each term.
