LA GRANDE, Ore. – It is said that reading is the most foundational indicator of life-long success.
That is why in celebration of National Reading Month Eastern Oregon University (EOU) in conjunction with the EOU Reading Clinic will host a showing of the documentary “The Right to Read.”
The documentary shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families that fight to provide the youngest generation with the tools to read.
“Right to Read” will be shown in Zabel Hall 101, on Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m.
The Executive Producer of the documentary is LeVar Burton, famously known for “Reading Rainbow” and as Geordi on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
