LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Observer’s 30th Annual Holiday Music Festival at Eastern Oregon University is set to return this December. The festival will highlight a diverse array of music performed by EOU students and community members.
The festival will be held December 3-4 at McKenzie Theatre in Loso Hall. Performances will begin Saturday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 4.
The “Gala” type performance, sponsored by Koza Family Dental Care, will feature the Grande Ronde Symphony Orchestra, the EOU Chamber Choir, EOU’s 45th Parallel Ensemble, the EOU African Drumming Group, the Grande Ronde Community Choir, the Grande Ronde Community Band and the EOU Fiddle Ensemble.
“This community-wide festival features traditional holiday music from around the world and is a wonderful beginning to the Holiday season,” said Professor of Music and director of EOU’s Chamber Choir, Peter Wordelman. “All proceeds from the event go to the music funds held in the EOU Foundation.”
Tickets can be purchased at Red Cross Drug, the EOU Bookstore, or purchased online for $10 each with credit card at eou.edu/music. Admissions prices on the day of the event will cost $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended.
