Dr. Christine Saladino has devoted over 18 years to higher education, primarily in leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has successfully led the development and evaluation of social work programs, ensuring they meet professional standards and Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation requirements. Dr. Saladino has experience teaching in both online and in-person settings. Previously, she served as the BSW Program Director at both Tennessee Wesleyan University and George Fox University.
Dr. Saladino is committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment that equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent professional social workers. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Services from Capella University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. Her professional practice experience is primarily in mental health and medical social work.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Saladino enjoys traveling, photography, spending time in nature, and attending live theatre and music concerts. She also loves taking walks with her two rescue dogs, Frisky and Cannoli.

Dr. Dezette C. Johnson, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and social work professional dedicated to advancing the field through research, education, and advocacy. Dr. Johnson has over twenty years of experience in social work field education. Dr. Johnson plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of social workers. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from East Carolina University, a Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University, and a doctorate degree in Social Work from the same institution.
With a research focus on teen dating violence, trauma recovery, field education, and program evaluation, Dr. Johnson has received numerous grants in these areas, demonstrating her commitment to addressing critical social issues. Her work extends beyond academia, as she is also a sought-after professional speaker, trainer, and consultant. Dr. Johnson provides training and consulting services to groups, churches, organizations, and corporations on topics such as dating violence, cultural competency, women’s issues, school social work, program evaluation, and using complementary alternative modalities for trauma recovery.
Through her work, Dr. Johnson embodies the values of social work, advocating for social justice, equality, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. Her dedication to improving the lives of others is evident in her research, teaching, and community engagement efforts.

Jamie’s responsibilities include administrative support for the faculty, staff and students for the College of Education Master of Social Work program. Jamie grew up in a small town in eastern Idaho. Jamie moved to La Grande in 2006. In 2016, Jamie graduated from EOU with a bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family and crafting. She has made everything from greeting cards and home decor, to movie props.
