EOU offers a wide variety of study abroad opportunities through different partners such as GEO Study Abroad, AIFS, API, ISA, IE3 global and kei. US FULBRIGHT PROGRAM

Fulbright is a renowninternational scholarship that can take you anywhere in the world. From masters degree to research grants, this program gives you an opportunity to further expand your career while diving into another culture. You can search the side range of opportunities by country. They also count with the English Teaching Assist Awards, which allows candidates to teach English while living abroad. Applications open every April.  


AUXILIARES DE CONVERSACIÓN (ESPAÑA)

This program offers the possibility to teach English in Spanish public schools for a stipend. The usual workload is 12 hours a week and the main focus is to help students to develop their speaking and hearing abilities while sharing your own culture. The applications usually open mid December for the next academic year, which is in October. If you love your first year in the program, there is a possibility to renew for a second year!


PUEBLO INGLÉS (ESPAÑA)

If you want to enjoy a free week in Spain in a small Spanish town, this is your chance! Pueblo inglés is all about making connections with people from different backgrounds in English while enjoying the Spanish culture. There are a dozen different locations to choose from and it is open year round. For more information and contact details, go to Pueblo inglés.


FACULTY LED INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS

Faculty led international programs are short courses that will give credits for a particular course. Instead of taking that course at La Grande, you can have a first hand experience on the subject! Faculty led programs will be announced in the Spanish program webpage and at EOU Study Abroad webpage


PEACE CORPS

Since 1961, the Peace Corps has been an independent agency and program of the United States government that trains and deploys volunteers to provide international development assistance. 23% of volunteers serve in one or more Latin American countries. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your language and intercultural skills while helping people around the world. The program varies from country to country and they need volunteers for different projects, from literacy projects to building hospitals and houses. Find more information here: Peace Corps
