Brenna Hines serves as a faculty member in Health and Human Performance and teaches PE and Health Methods for the MAT program. Her classes prepare students to advocate and optimize their own health and the health of their communities.  Her primary field of interest is student and community health education.   Brenna has experience managing and advising pre-health professionals and student success at the university and community college levels.  She is committed to supporting emerging educators and health professionals in developing evidence-based, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences for all students. Outside of teaching, Brenna enjoys yoga, running, backpacking, gardening, and community sporting events. 

Brenna’s Research and Professional interests include Mental Health Epidemiology, Physical and Health Education Pedagogy, Culturally Responsive Teaching in k-12 PE and Health Settings, Curriculum Designs for Diverse Learners, Health Literacy and Global Health Education, Teacher Preparation and Reflective Practice.
