Unlock college credit for what you already know. With Credit Predictor Pro, you can quickly document your work, military experience, licenses, or certifications and see which courses may qualify for credit—right from your phone or computer. The tool automatically aligns your background with EOU’s approved credit policies and connects your resume to key skills, making it easier for advisors to review and recommend credits.

ACE/Military
Students entering Eastern Oregon University may have college credit awarded for educational experience obtained in the military. Credit will be evaluated and based on the recommendation of the American Council on Education.

Agency Sponsored Learning
Students may receive credit for courses and training taken from non-degree granting organizations such as the military, corporations, labor unions, professional and voluntary associations, and government agencies.

Assessment of Prior Experiential Learning
The APEL process provides an opportunity for students to document acquired learning from life/work experiences in a format that can be assessed for academic credit. Within the outcomes of the APEL 390 course, students identify their learning from adult life experiences that correlate with college level achievement in specific disciplines that are available at EOU.

Transcript Evaluations
Whether you are a newly admitted freshman or transferring to EOU with prior college coursework, the Admissions and Registrar’s Offices are committed to making every reasonable effort to ensure maximum credit is awarded toward degree completion based on your official transcripts.

“The returning student and APEL programs at EOU have made my long-deferred goal of finishing my degree much more realistic. When I stopped attending EOU in 1995 to focus on raising my family, I always planned that I would go back to school. EOU’s quick returning student process allowed me to step back into taking classes. Working with my advisor, I realized that my real-life experiences over the last 20 years could help me earn credits toward a degree. Returning to college at a later stage in life is definitely not easy, but with the help and support of my advisors, my goal is a realistic and achievable one.”
