Type of work schedule Flexible schedule – agreed upon. Primarily weekday mornings and afternoons; occasional flexibility available.

Experiential Learning:Students will gain practical experience in custodial operations, workplace safety, and team-based collaboration. This position reinforces responsibility, time management, and attention to detail — key transferable skills across industries.
Professional Development:Students receive on-the-job training in custodial best practices, proper equipment use, and chemical safety. They’ll build experience in facility management and workplace professionalism, helpful for roles in operations, logistics, hospitality, and more.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:– Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize residential hall spaces
– Clean windows, walls, fixtures, and furnishings
– Disinfect restrooms and maintain sanitary supplies
– Perform minor repairs such as tightening screws or re-hanging curtains
– Assist with campus moves and event setups
– Remove trash and snow from building entryways
– Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:– Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
– Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and safe work practices
– Basic communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:– Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
– Dependability and a willingness to learn new tasks
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– Familiarity with cleaning tools or custodial equipment helpful but not required
– Team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently when needed
