This is an exciting opportunity to manage and grow the use of EOU’s podcast studio. The Podcast Student Manager & Lead Host offers a flexible schedule, the chance to meet and interview interesting people across campus and beyond, and a fun, supportive environment with Career Services. Job Duration Start date: Academic Year, including an option to start in August if preferred. Working during enrollment breaks is welcome but not expected.
Type of work schedule Flexible within the podcast studio schedule, primarily Monday–Thursday, 8 AM – 2 PM. Business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including availability on Wednesdays to accommodate visiting Employers

Experiential Learning:The student will gain practical experience in storytelling, audio content creation, and team/project management. This position connects closely with Communication, Marketing, Business, and Media Studies coursework and provides experience in essential workplace skills like time management, collaboration, and adaptability.
Professional Development:On-the-job learning includes technical podcast production processes, content development
workflows, and best practices in hosting and public engagement. There will be opportunities to
develop a professional portfolio and collaborate with EOU departments and leadership.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:– Foster and engage in a mentoring relationship with EOU’s Department of Marketing
– Lead podcast content planning and production from idea to release
– Manage episode calendar and production logistics
– Serve as primary host/interviewer for podcast episodes
– Collaborate with EOU stakeholders for interviews and topics
– Coordinate with technical staff for smooth production
– Track analytics and contribute to content strategy
– Promote content via university platforms
Minimum Qualifications:– Enrolled EOU student in good academic standing
– Demonstrable effective communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:– Experience with public speaking, interviews, or podcasting
– Knowledge of EOU campus and community
– Familiarity with podcast platforms and basic editing software tools
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– Strong verbal communication and confidence on mic
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
– Interest in media production and storytelling
