Job Duration June 22, 2026 –through June 2027. This position is not
expected to work during academic enrollment breaks
Type of work schedule Variable schedule. During the hours of 8 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday
Estimated numbers of hours per week10 hours per week during summer term. Up to 29 hours per
week during the academic term. Specific schedule will be
determined at time of hire
Experiential Learning:Student will gain hands-on experience training and
managing reading clinic tutors, creating and providing family
engagement events and resources, support schools and
teachers in providing evidence-based literacy programming,
collecting and analyzing reading clinic data, and providing
general administrative support for reading clinic activities.
Professional Development:Student will gain deep knowledge of best practices in
literacy instruction and intervention, as well as gain skills in
supervising literacy tutors and communicating with
community partners.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:-family engagement content creation
-training, management and supervision of tutors
-management of reading clinic data

-administrative support
Minimum Qualifications:-Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Elementary Education
-Valid Oregon Teaching License in Multiple Subjects
-Accepted into the EOU MS Education Program
-3.0 GPA Academic standing
-Documented experience working independently and staying focused on tasks
-training in use of structured literacy methods through an approved teacher preparation program
Preferred Qualifications:-one year or more experience teaching reading to K-3 grade students using a structured literacy program
-additional professional development in structured literacy
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:-Evidence of professional written and verbal communication skills
-Exhibited ability to mentor and collaborate with reading tutors
-Demonstrable accuracy and use of organizational skills
-Proven collaborative and team-oriented mindset
-Exhibited ability to perform light administrative tasks comfortably
