Student Worker – MOSAIC Center

The MOSAIC Center Student Worker role offers the chance to contribute directly to student belonging on campus while working in a welcoming, inclusive environment. This position provides flexibility around classes and sports schedules and allows students to develop professionalism and teamwork skills while being part of a supportive staff team.

Type of work schedule Flexible schedule – agreed upon. 4–8 hours weekly, primarily afternoons; occasional evenings/weekends for events.

Experiential Learning:Student Workers gain real-world experience in communication, organization, and event support. They learn to manage records, contribute to campus programming, and build customer service skills. This position connects to professional pathways in student affairs, customer service, administration, and peer leadership.
Professional Development:The role provides opportunities to strengthen workplace professionalism, teamwork, adaptability, and event coordination. Students will practice accountability and reliability while developing skills applicable to future career fields.
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:– Accurately complete and submit timesheets
– Review and complete assigned tasks from the Ongoing Projects/Task List
– Maintain the Computer Lab Usage Log
– Monitor and relay phone messages
– Check and respond to updates in student communication chat
– Review and acknowledge the Communication Log
– Adjust window shades for student comfort
– Maintain cleanliness: wipe tables, sanitize stations, empty trash, organize chairs
– Sanitize high-touch surfaces; notify Student Team Leader when supplies are low
– Secure/store gaming equipment after use
– Ensure computers/printers are powered on during open hours
– Lock and secure the MOSAIC Center at closing
Minimum Qualifications:– Current EOU student enrolled in 6+ credits and in good academic standing
– Responsible, reliable, and punctual
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications:– Prior customer service or teamwork experience
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– Commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment
– Strong organization and attention to detail
– Ability to adapt to unexpected challenges
