General Education Course (GEC)

Each General Education Course must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. The course teaches underlying principles, basic methodology, and fundamental concepts.
  2. The course provides a broad overview and is accessible to all interested students.
  3. The course must be 300-level or lower and require no ‘same discipline’ prerequisites, except for sequences and basic, college-level writing and math skills (defined at EOU as 100 level courses).  The first 2 years of a modern language count as a sequence.
